Motion Sensor Installation
The motion sense (SiXPIR) also has a range of over 300ft and employs the SiX Two-Way wireless communication technology. The motion sensor is pet friendly, up to 80lbs.
The motion sensor can be installed in a corner or on a flat surface. I chose the corner mount. The backplate has beveled sides that perfectly fit into a corner. Use the indentations in the backplate for your screws. Push the sensor tightly into the corner. If your corner is square, you'll have a straight sensor. If you're unsure, you might want to use a level.
Again, pull the battery tab and reattach the sensor to the backplate. Repeat this process for the remaining motion sensors. That's it. You've just installed your alarm system!
Finishing the Install
Wrap it up!
One of my favorite features of The Lryic Alarm system is the electronic picture frame. You can load images into the controller via the USB port. After 30 seconds, the controller will cycle through the images you loaded. The Lryic Alarm system is a great alternative to the security systems that tie you to a 2-3yr contract. It's also a great step up from the systems that are less expensive, but look and feel cheap. The total install took an hour to an hour and a half. The install was not difficult, but it involved cutting into a wall and drilling pilot holes. If you aren't comfortable doing those tasks, you may want to hire someone to install.
